The Outagamie County Sheriff’s Department states that a 51-year-old woman was heading north in her vehicle on County Road N. She came to a complete stop as she approached the intersection and then proceeded on her way. However the 75-year-old driver of a vehicle heading eastbound on County Road JJ failed to come to a stop at the intersection and collided with the woman’s car.
The impact of the Appleton car accident was so severe that the rescue crew had to transport both drivers and two passengers from the vehicles to a nearby hospital by ambulance. A fifth passenger was airlifted to another hospital with more severe injuries.
