From his beginnings as a paper mill worker and small engine assembler on Wisconsin assembly lines, Mark Sewall’s road to becoming a partner at Sigman, Janssen, Sewall, Pitz & Burkham was long and winding. However, it was those early work experiences that gave him unique insight into workers’ compensation, disability, and insurance laws—which ultimately became his primary areas of concentration as an attorney.
Mark grew up with nine siblings in Neenah, Wisconsin, and he’s a 1987 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy, summa cum laude. After a five-year stint working in the local factories, he chose to attend the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1990.
While actively practicing law, Mark always took the opportunity to get to know his clients on a personal level. This connection carried over into his passion for representing the people who depended on him. He made it a priority to make sure his clients were never left in the dark about their cases.
Now that he has retired, Mark looks forward to pursuing other activities he enjoys—such as reading biographies, going to the movies, or riding his bike. He’s also a travel-lover, having vacationed in Europe many times. His dream is to see the beaches in Normandy, France.
