Dog Bites and Postal Workers

by sjs | January 27th, 2014

Attorney James Pitz has frequently been asked to represent US Postal Service employees who have been bitten by bitten or attacked by a dog while performing their route. Postal carriers have multiple claims available to them and Attorney Pitz has been able to secure fair and reasonable compensation for them for the injuries they have endured. Wisconsin law provides protection for dog bit victims. In many instances, dogs that bite have done it before and Attorney Pitz has been able to obtain double damages for many of his clients who have suffered injuries of all sorts including but not limited to infections, fractures, scaring and emotional trauma. There are subrogation/reimbursement requirements when the Postal Service pays for medical expenses associated with a dog bit to a postal carrier. It is important that those legal obligations are not overlooked.
